Wafaqi wazer science o technology aur scientist, chemist Atta-ur-Rahman 22 September 1942, Tuesday ko Delhi mein peda howe. 1947 mein hijrat kar ke Lahore aein aur 1952 mein Karachi mein sakont ikhtayar ki, ibtadai talem Karachi Grammar school se hasil ki. 1960 mein Cambridge University oversees high school certificate mein first class position li. 1963 mein shoba kimiya jama Karachi (department of chemistry in Karachi University) se B.Sc honors 2nd position se hasil ki. 1964 mein namyati chimiya (Organic chemistry) mein M.Sc 1st position se pas kiya. 1968 mein Cambridge University se Ph.D ki aur 1972 mein 30 saal ki umer mein nobel inam yafta (Nobel Prize holder) scientist sir Robert Robinson ke kaam ko ghalat sabit kar ke benalaqwami shohrat hasil ki.

1977 mein sadar Pakistan ne academy of science ka gold middle diya, 25 March 1983 ko tamgha imtiaz, 1985 mein behtareen scientist ka award aur 1991 mein sitara e imtiaz hasil kiya. 1993 mein hokumat Iran ne 52 mulkon ke azeem scientists ke muqable mein muslim scientist Atta ur Rahman ko al Khwarizmi award 1st position hasil karne per diya gaya. Professor Atta Ur Rahman ko 1988 mein hokumat Kuwati ne Islamic organization prize diya. 1987 mein Cambridge University London ne ap ko doctor of science ki degree di. 1998 mein aqwam-e-mutaheda ne Unesco ke zer-e-ahtamam Atta ur Rahman ko behtareen scientist ka award diya. sawae Nobel prize ke ap ko duniya ke tamam bare science aezazat se nawaza ja chukka hai.

45 se zaed afrad ko ap ne Ph.D karwaya. Ye bhi aik record hai. Professor Atta ur Rahman ki 40 se zaed tasanif es waqt kai internation Universities mein parhai ja rahi hai. 500 se ziyada tehqiqi muqale shaya howe. Pakistan ki information technology aur jama Karachi ke Hussain Ebrahim Jamal Research institute of Chemistry ki taraqi es ke farogh aur tehqiq mein ap aehum kirdar ada kar rahe hein. Mukhtalif kitabon mein 59 abwab ap ke tehrer karda hein. In ke maqol “meri tehqiqi zindagi ko woh yad-gar lamha tha jab maine one blastain murakab ki pehli talif kit hi. Es waqt H.E.J institute nahi bana tha aur main post graduate research institute office chemistry tehqiq kar raha tha.”
