A poor village boy --- very ambitious --- reads by the fire --- passes an examination --- a scholarship --- university career --- becomes a great man.
Ramadan was the only son of a poor farmer. He took great interest in his studies. He won a scholarship in the secondary school Examination. He joined the college about three miles from his village. He proved himself to be a wonderful speaker, and a born cricketer. He stood first in his M.A. in English. He started life as a professor in the college, where he was once a student. He advised them to lead honest, upright lives. He died in a bus accident. The news spread like wild fire. The city observed complete hartal as a mark of grief for the deceased his pupils and others donated liberally towards the construction of a mosque in his memory. It was built in the collage compound, beside the grave of their beloved teacher.
